Mushrooms-not-wasted soup


If you got mushrooms and you don’t know what to do with them and expiry date is … well today 🙂 make a soup.


  • Anything you have left in the fridge but in my case that is
  • Mushrooms
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 bag of instant chicken soup
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • Chunky red paprika (bukovec)
  • 1 clove of garlic


Boil diced mushrooms and carrots first for 10 min. Together with the slice of garlic clove cut in half. Add the spices at the same time. Afterwards just add the instant soup and boil for another 10 mins. As we say in Macedonia, “пoлеснo, здрaвје.” Add a bit of parmezan cheese in your bawl when you serve the soup to enhance taste if needed.
