Been a while since the last post but cooking is happening and food is deliciously being digested.
But back to our latest improvisation with leftovers as I do get annoyed when food gets thrown away.
We have leftover: pork slices, rice noddles (pre-boil them), limburgesse mustard (the one with seeds), soy sauce, and some sweet and sour sauce.
We acquired some: Brussels sprouts (pre-boil them)
Season the pork according to what spices you have around and splash a bit of sweet and sour so the spices would stick.
The sauce: mix 2 tea spoons of mustard, half a cup of sweet and sour, black pepper, some salt, tea spoon of sugar (brown).
The cooking: Heat the wok pan on high, drop the pork and cook till brown. Cooking time might differ depending on the size of the pork slices – I know you know that but does not hurt to mention…nobody wants bloody or overcooked pork. Throw the brussels sprouts in and cook for 2-3 minutes. Last, throw in the rice noodles and cook together for 2-3 minutes and add soy sauce, the rice noodles will love it.
